Ultrasound?Controlled Swarmbots Under Physiological Flow Conditions

چکیده
Navigation of microrobots in living vasculatures is essential realizing targeted drug delivery and advancing non-invasive surgeries. Acoustically-controlled “swarmbots” are developed based on the self-assembly clinically-approved microbubbles (MBs). Ultrasound noninvasive, penetrates deeply into human body, well-developed clinical settings. This propulsion strategy relies two forces: primary radiation force secondary Bjerknes force. Upon ultrasound activation, MBs self-assemble microswarms, which migrate toward anchor at containing vessel's wall. A second transducer, produces an acoustic field parallel to channel, propels swarms along Noting that arteries have a blood flow 5–19 cm s?1, powerful features cross- upstream swarmbot navigation demonstrated against physiologically-relevant rates reach 16.7 s?1. Additionally, controlled swarmbots shown within mice under pulsatile conditions 100 beats per minute (bpm); adult heart rest executes between 60 bpm. capability represents much-needed pathway for preclinical research.

Regulation of spinal blood flow under physiological and pathological conditions.
three cases of spontaneous haemorrhage in the spinal canal, and the history of this condition, as it appears in the literature, was presented. In none of the cases did the haemorrhage result from an angioma; in two cases the bleeding was subdural and in one case extradural. The authors felt that slight trauma, which was usually held responsible for these episodes, was probably coincidental and ...
متن کاملUnder Blood Flow Conditions
A human ex vivo thrombosis model was used to investigate whether recombinant annexin V (rANV) can prevent thrombus formation under venous and arterial blood flow conditions. In this model, blood from an antecubital vein of healthy donors was allowed to flow directly over the extracellular matrix of tumor necrosis factor-stimulated endothelial cells (TNF-ECMs). TNF-ECMs were preincubated with rA...
متن کاملSpecial modes of corrosion under physiological and simulated physiological conditions.
The aim of this article is to review those aspects of corrosion behaviour that are most relevant to the clinical application of implant alloys. The special modes of corrosion encountered by implant alloys are presented. The resistance of the different materials against the most typical corrosion modes (pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and fretting corrosion) is compared, together with obser...
متن کاملEpithelium–Matrix Interaction under Physiological Conditions
Mesenchymal–epithelial interaction is important in the morphogenesis of squamous epithelia and their appendages, and in the control of the hair cycle postnatally. This review summarizes data regarding the interaction between stromal fibroblasts and tumor cells, with an emphasis on tumors originating from squamous epithelium. Tumor stromal fibroblasts as important element of the cancer stem cell...
متن کاملCitrullination under physiological and pathological conditions.
Citrullination, one of the enzymatic posttranslational modifications has become a hot topic of recent research as it is involved in various physiological and pathological processes. Antibodies against citrullinated proteins called anti-citrullinated protein antibodies, are the hallmark (diagnostic and prognostic factors) of rheumatoid arthritis, and are specific for the disease. Citrullination ...
